Our Tweenie program is designed for children between the approximate ages of 16 months and 26 months. This program sees some of the most incredible development in the areas of speech and socialization. We call them Tweenies because they are in-between the Infant stage and Toddler stage.
In this program the children participate in a more consistent schedule that includes a group nap time as well as circle/story time. This is a transitional room where we teach the children the skills needed to sleep on toddler beds (nap cots) and sit upright at a table. The Tweenies still have access to high chairs as well as cribs if they or their parents are not feeling quite ready for the transition. Tweenies participate regularly in social play and art projects that are age appropriate to what is expected developmentally such as learning shapes, colors, and animal sounds.
All our Infant/Toddler programs have at least one specialized Infant/Toddler Educator and an Early Childhood Educator at all times and maintain a 4:1 minimum of child to caregiver ratio.
